About Dr. Nicole Murray

My Passion Is Helping People Heal From Brain Injuries And Manage Cognitive Health Issues

My specialty is in neuropsychology and rehabilitation medicine. I help people recover from brain injuries, navigate neurodivergence, and adjust to changes in their health status. I decided to work with these clients because I believe they are profoundly misunderstood—even by other therapists. People who struggle with major health changes typically receive very little support, since there are a limited number of professionals with a working knowledge of medical health and neuroscience.

I’ve worked in several rehabilitation medicine departments and have witnessed first hand the lack of resources in mental health and neuropsychology that many clients deal with. I’ve also seen a significant amount of misinformation about ADHD and neurodivergence from individuals who aren’t well-trained in such subjects. Oftentimes, clients are attracted to these people because there are not enough professionals that specialize in this area of clinical work.

All of these factors motivated me to become a specialist in neuropsychology and rehabilitation medicine. I wanted to help people separate the truth from misinformation, get proper diagnoses, and find the support they need to manage their health issues.

I Offer Customized Care, Diagnostic Evaluations, And Emotional Support

I provide treatment for people suffering from concussions, a neurodegenerative disease (dementia), ADHD, and various neurological conditions. My practice is unique because it offers assessments and diagnostic tests that are robust and comprehensive. I also provide customized treatment for each client. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan—every injury or condition is different and so is every individual.

Additionally, I often help people navigate the uncertainty and anxiety around their health. There are so many unknowns that my clients face. Many of them have no idea whether or not their symptoms are normal, especially if they’re experiencing memory, attention issues, or changes in their personality. Many of them also don’t know what next steps to take once they figure out what diagnoses they have.

Naturally, these question marks can put so much stress on their lives. My goal is to act as the bridge between injury and recovery so that my clients can heal in the least stressful and most optimal way possible.

A Little Bit About Who I Am

Outside of my work as a rehabilitation specialist, my number-one hobby is exercising. I love a good spin class and hope to get into rock climbing soon. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I teach students about topics related to outpatient neuropsychology and rehabilitation medicine.

In addition to individual treatment, I offer skills-based therapy groups for people with various health conditions such as MS, cancer, and post-concussion-syndrome.

Since my background and training are in rehabilitation medicine and solution-focused therapies, many of my clients walk away from treatment with the tools necessary to optimize daily functioning. I am confident that I can help you find the tools to benefit your own life.
